Description
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy has been utilised in the fields of orthopaedic medicine and reconstructive surgery, and now finds its way into Dentistry. It has also been termed as the “vampire facelift by Charles Runels, a cosmetic surgeon from Alabama.
PRP is an effective way to naturally rejuvenate the patient’s face, using a concentrated injection of their plasma. The platelets within the plasma accelerate the healing of structures such as scars and wrinkles. This therapy is very effective when treating facial lines as well as wrinkles under the eye, along the neck, and on the hands.
